Bozeman Deaconess Hospital has been named of the nation’s “100 Great Community Hospitals” by Becker’s Hospital Review, based on the hospital’s accolades, quality of care, and services provided to patients.
Hospitals named to the list all have fewer than 550 beds and minimal teaching programs, and many are located in rural areas. “All have worked to provide the experience and quality of care their patients expect and deserve,” said Heather Punke, assistant editor of Becker’s Hospital Review, a monthly publication for high-level hospital leaders offering business and legal news and analysis relating to hospitals and health systems.
“This prestigious recognition once again reflects the ongoing commitment of every provider, every associate, every staff member at Bozeman Deaconess Health Services to meet our mission of improving community health and quality of life,” said Kevin Pitzer, CEO and president of BDHS. “We constantly strive to provide high quality and safe care to our patients, and continuously enhance value to our patients through improved care processes and cost efficiencies.”
The Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team selected this year’s top 100 community hospitals based on rankings and awards from a number of influential healthcare analysis organizations, including the American Hospital Association and Truven Health Analytics. Earlier this year, Bozeman Deaconess was named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics and was also named a Healthstrong Top Hospital by iVantage Health Analytics. Bozeman Deaconess Hospital was one of only two hospitals in the state to be named to the 100 Great Community Hospitals list for 2014.
