Bozeman Deaconess Welcomes New Physicians

Bozeman Deaconess Hospital is pleased to welcome the physicians who joined the Medical Staff in 2006.

Jami Chisdak, MD, who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, is in practice at The Caritas Center for Women. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska School of Medicine and completed her residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Chisdak is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Cheri Conner, MD, is in practice with Gallatin Valley Anesthesia Associates. A Bozeman native, she is a University of Washington School of Medicine (WWAMI program) graduate. After a transitional internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital, Conner completed her residency training in anesthesia at University of California San Diego in 2006. She is board eligible in anesthesiology.

Brennan Dodson, MD, has opened a new solo practice, Bridger ear, nose & throat PLLC. In addition to general ENT, Dodson specializes in pediatric ENT, sinus surgery, ear surgery and bony/soft tissue facial trauma. His medical degree is from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and he did a five-year residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in the department of otolaryngology head and neck surgery. Dodson is board eligible in otolaryngology.

Fanee Freeman, MD, joined Bozeman OB/GYN. She received her medical degree and completed her residency at St. Louis University School of Medicine and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She was in private practice in St. Louis for 10 years before moving to Bozeman.

Christine Mitchell, MD, is in practice at the Bozeman Clinic. A Dillon native, Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed family medicine residency and a fellowship in obstetrics at UW Family Medicine in Spokane, WA. She is board certified in family medicine.

Kari Ritter, MD, is a hospitalist with Bozeman Deaconess Internal Medicine Associates Health Group practice. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed residency (chief resident) at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles in internal medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine.

Erik Schroeder, MD, is in practice with Alpine Orthopedics as a non-operative orthopedic and sports medicine specialist. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and family medicine residency at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT. He then completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of Utah before joining Alpine Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He specializes in pediatric and adult sports injuries, fracture management, non-operative spine care, and knee, shoulder, hip, foot and ankle problems. He is board certified in family medicine.

Richard Vinglas, MD, has joined Bridger Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. He is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine and its orthopedic residency program. Vinglas also completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Southern California. His training ranges from complex micro-vascular reconstruction, fracture care, managing shoulder, elbow and wrist sport injuries to shoulder, elbow and wrist joint reconstruction.

Locum Tenens Physicians

John Stamato, MD, is a radiation oncologist with Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Center. He is a member of the Indiana University School of Medicine Class of 1992. He completed residency at Indiana University Medical Center and is board certified in radiation oncology. He has been in practice at Eastern Montana Cancer Center.

Martin Katz, MD, is in practice at Gallatin Community Clinic. A family medicine physician, he is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina and the family medicine residency at ETSU in Chattanooga, TN. Additionally, Katz, who is board certified in family medicine, completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of South Carolina-Columbia.
