Kohlís Department Stores Donates $9,792 To Bozeman Deaconess For Healthy Living Education Program

Bozeman Deaconess Health Services, with financial support from Kohlís Caresģ, is helping kids learn to choose nutritious foods, eat better and live a healthy lifestyle through Kohlís Kids Eat Smart during the Womenís Fall Expo at Montana State Universityís Strand Union Building Ballrooms, from 10 am to 5 pm on September 28. The 11th Annual Expo focuses on the best health and wellness, fitness and family offerings in the Gallatin Valley.

Representatives from Kohlís Cares will present a check for $9,792 to Bozeman Deaconess Health Services at 1 pm on the Main Stage. These funds are used for the Kohlís Kids Eat Smart program at BDHS to help prevent childhood obesity and educate people on how to eat healthy, balanced, nutritious meals and snacks. Expo attendees will be able to pick up free recipe cards with healthy recipes and Kohlís Kids East Smart health tips, and register for upcoming Kohlís Kids Cooking Classes that begin in October.

Since 2012, Kohlís has donated more than $15,000 to Bozeman Deaconess Health Services. Kohlís made its first contribution to the Bozeman Kohlís Kids Eat Smart initiative during the 2012 BDHS Family Wellness Day Health Fair with a check presentation for $5,444.

Kohl's commitment to Bozeman Deaconess Health Services is made possible through the Kohl's Cares cause merchandise program. Through this initiative, Kohlís sells $5 books and plush toys, with 100 percent of net profit benefiting childrenís health and education programs nationwide, including hospital partnerships like this one. Kohl's has raised more than $231 million through this merchandise program. In addition to the merchandise program, Kohl's Cares features the Kohl's Caresģ Scholarship Program, which last year recognized more than 2,300 young volunteers with more than $400,000 in scholarships and prizes. Through Kohlís Associates in Action volunteer program, more than 669,000 associates have donated more than 2.2 million hours of their time since 2001, and Kohlís has donated more than $63 million to youth-focused nonprofit organizations.
