3 Tesla (3T) Siemens® Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)The state-of-the-art 3 Tesla (3T) Siemens® magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with a 70 cm wide bore and advanced coil technology is the first magnet of its type west of the Mississippi River; other centers with this technology include Johns Hopkins and Medical University of South Carolina.
The wide bore size can better accommodate larger patients and allows for patients to be placed in various positions inside the magnet, which also improves patient comfort during the exam. Moreover, the resolution provided by the system is higher and allows for better detection.
The system provides broader benefits to clinical providers since it comes with specialized software and coils to assist in oncology, neurology, cardiology and orthopedic specialized exams.Adult Health and WellnessIf you are sedentary, overweight, a smoker, have high blood pressure or diabetes you may need more than an exercise program—you need a medically supervised health program. We can teach you to manage your overall health through lifestyle behavior modification. By choosing to take personal responsibility for your good health now, you can live a longer, healthier and happier life.Allura Xper FD20 X-ray SystemThe Allura Xper FD20 x-ray system from Philips is a fully digital system that enables physicians to capture and view detailed images of a patient's vascular system, facilitating faster and more accurate diagnosis and treatment of their disease. Also important, the Allura system exposes patients to less radiation during the actual procedures.Cardiac Catheterization Lab Cardiac catheterization is the process of passing a catheter (a thin, flexible tube) through an artery or vein in the patient’s arm or groin and into the heart. This measures the pressures in the heart and the flow of blood through the chambers of the heart.
Cardiac catheterization is done when there is reason to believe there are blockages in the patient’s coronary arteries—usually after a heart attack or if angina has been newly diagnosed. A catheterization enables the physician to view the coronary arteries and determine the severity and location of blockages. It also allows the physician to assess the valves and overall function of the heart.
